May I present to you the humble Almond Butter and Banana on Organic Wholewheat Sourdough?
Drizzled with a bit of honey (or maple syrup) and topped with a sprinkle of seeds, it's simple yet satisfying and quite filling, so it will sustain your energy levels throughout the day and keep the wolves at bay until dinnertime.
Why almond butter and not peanut butter, you ask?
Almond butter contains more vitamins, minerals and fibre. But, most importantly, it's the highest in healthy fats (Omega-3), so it's the better option for your heart, cholesterol and overall health.
Look for almond butter with NO ADDED SUGAR AND OIL, and if it's ORGANIC then even better!
